Last week Patch launched Park Slope Patch, a Patch site in my very own Brooklyn neighborhood. I was so excited as it has been a long time coming. I can honestly say that I’ve never appreciated my company more than now. I check out Park Slope Patch every morning to see what’s going on in my neck of the woods. It has been very helpful and super informative – I know, I know, I sound like I’m a walking marketing tool for my company, but I wouldn’t say it, or rather, blog about it, if it weren’t true. Patch really is changing the world of journalism and it’s exciting to be a part of that paradigm shift.
I’m so lucky to have stumbled upon Park Slope. It is arguably Brooklyn’s most desirable neighborhood and other than feeling safe and appreciating all the cute little shops and restaurants, I just really like the little neighborhood in a big city feel. I still live a New York City lifestyle without the intense craziness of Manhattan with all the people and constant noise. Sometimes during my 5-minute walk from the train station to my apartment in the evening, I just smile and think “I love my life.”
Here are some pics of my apartment, when we first moved in it was boring and ugly and now it's cute and homey.
